It's a sweet gift, but I don't understand why people put a puppy in a dark box. It seems like a scary situation to put a little puppy who already doesn't know where it is or who it is with inside of a dark box.

I think it’s a lovely thought BUT why couldn’t someone just walk the puppy through the front door? All I was doing when I watched that - was looking for air holes in the wrapping so he could breathe.

It’s not that big of a deal, puppies in the wild live the vast majority of their puppy life in dark caves or holes. They had the wrapping around the door, so it seems like they most likely put the pup in and brought him out. That’s definitely a kennel. 👍

@@aliciafines8067 Yeah, but the smells and sounds are familiar to them, as are their litter mate's. Theses puppies, after being taken from all that is familiar to them, are placed alone in a dark box. Fortunately puppies are resilient, but I still feel bad for them.

My husband cried when a friend gave us a puppy at Christmas. He always acted macho, but that fell apart when our puppy arrived.

I work at a dog store with a grooming salon. We have a dog that comes in names Ollie and his dad is a super macho biker dude. He’s like a small maltipoo type of dog and he has a Mohawk that we get to add color to (currently green) and he comes into the store being carried like an actual baby

He will be fine, he's in a great family. It takes animals about 3 or 4 weeks to adjust to their new home. I have a feeling he is going to be loved and spoiled rotten 💜💜

While I'm not for Christmas puppy gifts (due to the high return rate), this one isn't bad at all since the receiver had been wanting one for a long while and seems to have the means to take care of a dog already (as seen with the other dog already in the family)

I believe it is okay to give a puppy to a person who has had multiple puppies and dogs that were wanted well trained and dearly loved. This guy is not a 7 yo girl with no clue. He will love that dog and knows how to train. He also seems stable- home and schedule.

Scary but unfortunately this is how dogs are transported unless your spoiled ready , most dogs are given in kennels , boxes , some have windows and hes and some don’t . I’m sure this dog wasn’t in their for long lol . Imagine hiding this big ol box from dad for hours or 1 hour or 30 min heck even 20 , that box would definitely move , bark or cry !!lmao … I’m sure they brought in the box and placed the dog before handing him the box, or I hope so

Puppy was born in darkness and it was welcomed gently by this man. The dog wasn't trying to get away so, it's not fearful just unsure of it's new surrounding. Glad this man got what he wanted. Reminds me of when I finally got a dog I wanted. :)

Maybe not such a good idea to put him wrapped up in the box like that. Perhaps next time you could just cover a dog crate with a blanket. I know it will probably give the surprise away but it's better than frightening the puppy

Not one word of how happy this pup made the dad, or how cute the pup is etc. If the pup "looked frightened" could you explain that assumption? He's calm, curious and adorable. That’s a beautiful gift. Dad’s joy you can hear. And yes. The little puppy was scarred but not for long. He was so comforted in dad’s arms, the other dog came to greet him and the little puppy licked dad’s face. What fun and now this precious puppy has loving home. Thank you Father!!

Man, cardboard boxes aren't airtight. Even if they were there has to be hundreds of breaths worth of air in such a huge box for such a tiny animal. Besides all that, they probably only put him in the box for as long as it took to carry that box from the kennel to the livingroom. If he was scared it's 100,000,000% because he was cornered in a box by a huge stranger who was reaching for him. Putting dogs in boxes to present them as gifts does seem conceptually weird and questionable to me though, I personally wouldn't do it just because it feels disrespectful to me.

The puppy is absolutely adorable and the dad is ECSTATIC! I love this! He is so happy! I have 3 dogs, 1 outside, 2 inside. We also CANNOT let anyone or an animal go hungry, so we also feed 12 stray cats! Well, on some days there are less cats outside, they go around and do what they want. So, that should speak volumes on how much we LOVE DOGS, and all animals! I am so curious as to what he'll name him! Love this 🐶
